A lesser-seen species related to walliniana, with oval leaves and pointed tips that can shift through shades of red to deep burgundy in bright light. The foliage brings most of the interest, especially as the colour deepens with exposure. It grows steadily and is best grown hanging, where its vines can develop naturally. It also blooms easily, producing white, cream and red flowers with a soft floral scent. A quietly striking Hoya that changes with the light.
